What is Microneedling?
Microneedling is a device that gives customizable treatment options depending on your individual needs. The Microneedling device utilizes a sterile single-use surgical grade, twelve or thirty-six thirty gauge disposable needle tips. The
Microneedling device has a powerful motor that glides smoothly across the skin’s surface while delivering thousands of micro-channels, this is creating a controlled injury to the skin, this is necessary to bring about the necessary change. These tiny micro-channels stimulate your skin’s own natural ability to heal itself, and your body starts the repair process by creating new skin. This process is called Collagen Induction Therapy. Fibroblasts (the cells that synthesize new collagen) are active for up to as much as one year after just one
Microneedling treatment. New collagen and elastin produce younger, healthier, plumper, and firmer skin.
How much does the Microneedling cost?
We offer single treatments and packages. We go over costs during your consultation. Typically, a series of three to six treatments are recommended depending upon your area of correction or concern. Treatments are usually spaced in four to five-week intervals. Post skincare kits are required for this treatment (we know this is safe for you to use while the skin is healing), these are sold separately (due to clients loving the products and using them daily as their skin regimen). We require each client to have their own numbing cream. We will teach how to use it during your consultation and call the cream in and our local compounding pharmacy we use can mail it to your home. (You pay the pharmacy for the numbing cream once it is ready for you).
What does Microneedling treat?
Microneedling treats wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, sun damage, melasma, stretch marks, scars, and overall better tone and texture.
How is the Microneedling Performed?
A topical hyaluronic acid serum with zinc is applied to clean numbed skin. This product is chosen to help the
Microneedling device glide smoothly across the skin’s surface creating superficial micro-channels that allow the serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin while delivering the controlled mechanical injury (this is necessary for the skin in order to produce collagen and elastin).
How much Microneedling will I need?
Typically a series of three to six treatments are recommended depending upon your area of correction or concern. Patients with scars and or stretch marks usually require six or more treatments to achieve the desired results. Treatments are usually spaced in four to five-week intervals.
Who is a good candidate for Microneedling?
Microneedling can be used on all skin types (unless pregnant) to address a variety of concerns, most all areas of the body can be treated unless your we or your family medical provider determines otherwise.
How soon will I see results from Microneedling?
Most all clients see results after the first
Microneedling treatment. Individual results vary depending on individual skin health. It is most common to begin to see true changes or positive results as soon as one to two weeks after the first treatment. Many clients comment on positive changes in even less time (often change is noted within just a few days).
How long will Microneedling results last?
Microneedling produces results through stimulation of growth factors and collagen, thereby promoting new skin cells to the surface. As our skin ages, our collagen production naturally slows down. Your overall results will last longer when using an at-home medical-grade skincare regimen that includes a daily vitamin c, physical SPF, and a nightly retinol product to keep your skin healthy. We are here to help make a skincare regimen plan that is best suited just for you and your skin needs.
Is Microneedling safe?
Safety is always important.
Microneedling is inherently safer than dermal rollers, utilizing a sterile single-use surgical grade disposable needle tips. The
Microneedling safety micro-needle cartridge ensures that device delivers greater efficiency and superior clinical results while maintaining the highest level of safety.
What will I look like after my Microneedling treatment?
Some clients need more aggressive treatments while others may just need some fine-tuning. Immediately after your treatment, your skin will look slightly pink to moderately red. Bruising can occur sometimes around thinner skin or if the client is on any type of blood thinners or had alcohol 24 hours before treatment. Normally,
Microneedling is considered a no-downtime treatment. Our medical aesthetician will recommend skin care products for your post care based on your individual skin, which will greatly minimize these symptoms and enhance your overall results.
Can I use makeup after having my Microneedling treatment?
Directly after your treatment, we recommend using only mineral-based foundation (Jane Iredale mineral makeup is what we recommend), as it cannot build bacteria. You may go back to your regular foundation four days post-treatment.
